COMPETITION AND KWALITY WALL’S CORNETTO

Every marketer wants to be the market leader in its industry. But when there is a marketer and a product, a competitor is born. Competition grows more intense every year with new players coming up with similar products. Every competitor is looking to grow sales in new markets, cost efficient ways to expand distribution, low priced alternatives and more many more strategies to gain an advantage over the other competitors.

MAJOR COMPETITORS

Considering the Indian Markets for Cornetto, I could identify the following as the major competitors:
1.     Vadilal
2.     Amul
3.     Mother Dairy
4.     Dinshaw

Cornetto over the years has established its self as a market leader, as there are very few manufacturers who have the technology to make the frozen cone ice creams in India.

EXPANDING TOTAL MARKET DEMANDS

Kwality Wall’s always keep looking for new customers and works on convincing on them to use their products. Sometimes, it does through advertisements and campaigns other time sits purely with the help of the sales teams and the distribution channel. The classic example would be small cart pullers with small coolers, who stand outside the schools and colleges. No one wants to buy any other Cornetto, because it is good to taste.

CREATING MORE USAGE

Kwality Wall’s have succeeded in creating more flavours evry now and then, to keep encouraging customers to try new things. It brings in new taste that global markets bring in cups. Cornetto offers it in easy to take away cones.

DEFENSIVE MARKETING

Cornetto today has been positioned in the most desirable market space in the consumer’s min, making the brand almost impregnable. People know when they will bite into the Cornetto, the cone will be crisp the flavors would be perfect to taste and would give same experience each time they purchase it.

COMPETITON GOOD OR BAD

Competition leads to a market that is more dynamic and keeps evolving, thus giving consumers more choice and better products.  They make businesses to reconsider their value propositions and question the loyalty of consumers. Thus, moving the economy to a better place to trade in.
